Guy Fleming Trail: Torrey Pines' Best Short Hike
Proof that great hikes aren't measured in miles: a flat 0.7-mile loop packed with ocean views, spring wildflowers, and North America's rarest pine. Hike it in ten minutes or stretch it to ninety — your call. The one catch is parking, so get there before 8 a.m., because the trailhead lot only fits eight cars.

Bali Hai: 70 Years of Tiki on Shelter Island
The round building at the tip of Shelter Island has been pouring its famously potent Mai Tais and serving Polynesian plates with skyline-and-bay views since 1954 — still run by the same family, three generations in. There's a two-drink limit and they will genuinely cut you off. Book sunset or Sunday brunch; those are the tables everyone's after.

Coastal · Boardwalk, Bay & Garnet Ave
Pacific Beach
Three miles of coast between the ocean and Mission Bay, with the historic Crystal Pier at the center — the rare San Diego neighborhood with ocean and bay access in one. Loud and social along Garnet Avenue and the boardwalk, calmer up in North PB and around Crown Point. Beach-first living, walkable nightlife, and surf at the doorstep — if you can live with the summer parking.
Crystal Pier · Tourmaline surf · Mission Bay · Walk Score 74

Buyer's or Seller's Market in San Diego? (July 2026)
The most-asked question in San Diego real estate has a split answer: as of July 2026 it's a slight seller's market under $1.5M and a firm buyer's market above $4M, with a balanced middle in between. The single countywide "93 days" is technically true and practically useless — the number that matters is the one for your price bracket. Here's how to tell which market you're actually in.
Countywide ~93 days · Seller's under $1.5M · Buyer's above $4M
